Visit to National Memorial Arboretum on Tuesday 15th May

The National Memorial Arboretum is a National place of Remembrance for all our Armed Forces with over 300 memorials.  The Armed Forces Memorial lists the names of all armed forces personnel killed in action since the second world war and is particularly moving to see.  Its striking simplicity is in contrast to the woodland landscape garden, containing over 30,000 trees.  A visit to the National Memorial Arboretum is not complete without seeing the Millenium Chapel; the only chapel with a daily Act of Remembrance at 11.00am where the Last Post, Silence and Reveille are played.   For those who want to explore the whole arboretum, there is a land train that operates every 30 minutes, plus a gift shop, cafe and restaurant.  This visit is open to everyone and tickets are £12 for Members and £15 for Non Members.
