Newsletter November 2019

Hello and welcome.  Hopefully this finds you all well because I know some of you have been a little under the weather lately.

Jacqui and her family wish to thank everybody who helped in any way following Lilian’s funeral last month.

We have had some very interesting trips recently. One which we all thoroughly enjoyed was the Aled Jones and Russell Watson concert at the Warwick Arts Centre. The Craft and Laugh group attended The Creative Craft Show at The NEC on Thursday.  I think we all came home with our purses very much lighter! We will have plenty more interesting trips and events on offer next year. The model of the Queen in her Coronation Robes,  displayed in the entry to the craft hall, was completely knitted! It needed to be seen to be believed.

Don’t forget that it is our Annual Meeting on Wednesday 6th November so we will be starting at  7pm in the committee room before moving into the main hall afterwards. We would like to see as many of you as possible. Please take your competition entries into the main hall and then take your place in the committee room.

We will be joined by Alan Keech who you may remember from last year.  This year he will be showing us how to wrap a parcel.  You need to bring a book or similar shaped flat gift eg box of chocolates.  Please also bring sellotape, a pair of scissors and £1.50 to pay for the giftwrap and ribbon.

We look forward to seeing you on Wednesday.  Please arrive promptly ready for the meeting to start at 7pm.

Christine Harrop, secretary
