Hello ladies, hopefully you have enjoyed this beautiful summer weather we had and feel refreshed whether you had a holiday away or a “staycation”.
I decided to start with these pictures to remind you of the lovely afternoon we spent at “Green And Gorgeous”, the flower farm we visited for our August celebration. The day was slightly marred by the mix up at the hotel later in the day, but that was completely out of our control – their mistake not ours. However, looking at the reviews of said hotel I think we had a narrow escape.

Tysoe Flower Show was a great success. Thank you to everybody who baked cakes and/or helped on the day. We had an extremely busy day and were all pretty tired at the end of it. There were very few cakes left at the end of the afternoon and we were able to sell them – there are always people waiting around at the end hoping they can buy something to take home with them. Our reputation grows every year ladies, so thank you to you all, and particularly to Liz who works so hard to organise it.
Our next meeting is on Wednesday September 4th when our speaker will be Tanya Goodwin talking about “Digital Detox For a better Life. I think this sounds to be a very interesting subject. I wonder how many of us need some help in breaking our bond with our mobile phones, tablets and computers? The competition is “a hand Written poem/limerick”.
We look forward to seeing you on Wednesday.
