“Tysoe WI Does Christmas – As Only They Know How!!!”

Well, it’s almost here! In just over a week we will be celebrating so we hope you are looking forward to our Christmas party. Please aim to arrive at 7.15 pm wearing your festive attire which could be Christmas jumper, Christmas hat, sparkly outfit, fancy Christmas jewellery etc.  I’m sure this will put us all in the mood for partying. Visitors are welcome and there will be no charge just a donation to Shipston Home Nursing, which is the charity we have been supporting this year.

We will be having Secret Santa this time so please bring a gift to the value of £5 and remember that if you don’t bring a gift then you won’t receive one either. Don’t be a party pooper! We would also like you to bring a plate of food to share in the buffet. There should be plenty of food so please don’t think you have to bring something to feed the entire group.

Our year long Centenary Celebrations will come to an end with the Christmas Tree Festival in St Mary’s Church from December 10th. We will be serving coffee and mince pies in church on Saturday morning 9th December from 10:30am to 12 noon and on Saturday afternoon December 16th from 2:30 to 4pm we will be serving tea/coffee and mince pies. Please remember if you have promised mince pies etc for these events.

We will be dressing the main Christmas tree in church on Thursday 7th December from 2pm.  If you have any decorations you made for last years tree (in WI colours) and are willing for us to use them again then please bring them to the party.  Or why not join us in decorating the tree?

For those of you who are booked on the Christmas Fabric Wreath workshop this will take place at 7pm on December 12th in the Committee Room. Please contact Dee if you have any questions.

Now for a couple of non- Christmas items.  Dee is again working her magic and is in the process of organising a trip to the “RSC- Behind the scenes” in March, and a visit to Kelmscott Manor in April.  More information when available.

Subscriptions are due in January and the cost is £41. Please let us know if you no longer wish to continue your membership.

We look forward to seeing you December 6th!

Christine Harrop – Secretary
